The International Youth Federation is an international non-profit youth organizations network governed by the present Statutes and the Swiss Civil Code. It is neutral politically, and non-denominational, aim to empower youth worldwide.

The function of the IYF Executive Office (IYFEO) is to provide the support services needed to enable the IYF Senior Management Team (SMT) to perform their leadership roles effectively. The IYFEO tasked with the responsibility to provide policy and programmatic support to IYF´s activities in the Regional Administrations.

Under the overall guidance of the IYF Secretary General, with a second report line to the Director, Bureau of Management the Oversight and Compliance Specialist will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring high-quality compliance for the Regional Administrations and HQ Departments with the IYF Corporate policies and regulations.

Mission Statement:
To voluntarily represent, positively promote, and uphold the mission of “Empowering youth for better world” in various programs and opportunities throughout the IYF interventions across member countries.

(A) Oversee the management and implementation of audits and evaluations reviews:
• Provide strategic guidance and oversee overall management of the quarter and annual performance reviews.
• Finalize the internal audit strategy and the internal evaluation strategy, and related policies and guidelines.
• Full compliance of HR activities, staff and units performance with the IYF rules and regulations, policies, procedures and strategies; effective implementation of the Internal Control Framework (ICF).
• Analysis of corporate HR strategies and policies, staff performance and assessing the impact of changes and making recommendations on their implementation in the IYF.
• Provide strategic advisory and overall guidance to Regional Administration, Country Teams and HQ units on performance management/evaluation matters.
• Ensure adequate and consistent application of the IYF procedures as well as administrative; programmatic, contractual, financial rules in daily operations.
• Conduct special management reviews, assist in the follow-up on the implementation of the internal/external audit recommendation, and follow up.
• Undertake all other oversight and compliance activities within the framework of the set responsibilities of the duties.

(B) Lead and oversee corporate reporting and feedback:
• Interact, liaise and report periodically to the IYF’s Executive Board on internal audit and evaluation findings.
• Submit mandated reports for management and governing bodies on findings, recommendations and lessons learned from the IYF programmes, projects, initiatives and management.
• Advice the IYF Secretary General (SG) on strategic and critical issues related to internal audit and evaluation findings requiring the SG’s actions and/or interventions.

(C) Lead the development of new tools, guidelines and systems:
• Introduce innovation and cutting-edge techniques and approaches to facilitate internal audits, performance management and evaluations.
• Ensure high quality methodological and process standards through strict guidance to and oversight of the Executive Office in adherence to IYF’s policies on internal audits and evaluation.

Experience and results preferred at national level preferred in administration role, management, development, communications, youth issues, sport, women empowerment, youth-led organizations or another relevant field.

Fluency in English with superior drafting skills is essential.

Evaluation of qualified candidates may include an assessment exercise, which may be followed by a competency-based interview.
