The International Youth Federation is an international non-profit youth organizations network governed by the present Statutes and the Swiss Civil Code. It is neutral politically, and non-denominational, aim to empower youth worldwide.

IYF's mission is to position itself as a world-class knowledge organization. In order to achieve this mission, the organization should transform its workforce by developing the requisite staff capacity through learning.

Under the direction of Assistant Secretary General/Director, Bureau of Management, the Director is responsible for designing, developing, supervising and executing specific learning activities for IYF staff using learning technology and platforms in delivering knowledge materials.

Mission Statement:
To voluntarily represent, positively promote, and uphold the mission of “Empowering youth for better world” in various programs and opportunities throughout the IYF interventions and the community.

(A) Strategic Support for Learning Management:
• Generates new thinking, opens up and seeks learning opportunities for the IYF staff.
• Effective engagement with a wide array of stakeholders, partners and promote best learning practice.
• Creatively expands learning opportunities through partnerships and fundraising with public and private sector counterparts.

• Advises the Assistant Secretary General on the implications of changes in learning policies.
• Coordinate the formulation and implementation of a comprehensive IYF knowledge management strategy.
• Analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of annual learning work plan, and managing knowledge e-portal, monitoring and facilitating staff access to the online system.
• Supports and facilitates, as required the development of training materials and delivery of training events. Follows through with user feedback, progress and integrates the feedback to the future programmes.
• Designs and coordinates online training programmes based on organizational and staff needs that are in line with learning events.
• Carries out surveys, assessment and feedback analysis to monitor the impact of learning and to evaluate overall programme effectiveness.
• Designs and re-packages learning solutions for candidates of certain levels, and those who are nominated for and successful pass through the internal/external candidate pool assessment process.
• Enhances and coordinates the design and deployment of a blended Orientation & On-boarding package for all staff to help them to appropriately develop requisite capacities in core values, substantive knowledge, operational skills, and competencies.

(B) Advocacy, Networks, and partnerships:
• Heading the Learning Committee, and act as management focal point in the IYF Academic Board meetings.
• Direct development of IYF Learning HUB, facilitating knowledge sharing and staff knowledge development, in collaboration with the ICT Support Unit.
• Complete and manage the delivery of inter-agency knowledge programme, queries and consolidated replies, e-discussions and consultations, news and thematic updates.
• Design and produce a periodic newsletter on IYF learning activities.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with external professionals and institutions and IYF partners in support of knowledge sharing and networking.

• Highly interest in youth empowerment issues.
• Knowledge sharing skills are required.

Experience and results preferred at national level preferred in education, coaching, Training of Trainers, youth empowerment role, training, knowledge management, development, communications, international relations, capacity building, sport, women empowerment, youth-led organizations or another relevant field.

Fluency in English with superior drafting skills is essential.

Evaluation of qualified candidates may include an assessment exercise which may be followed by a competency-based interview.
